The new Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Benjamin Okolo, has promised to be professional in the discharge of his duties.
Okolo disclosed this to newsmen on Monday, upon his official resumption at the State Command Headquarters in Yenagoa.
He maintained that he will not condone unprofessional conduct among officers, including indiscipline and extortion of money from residents and promised not to involve itself in partisan politics.
The commissioner took over from Eworo Echeng who was redeployed to Anambra State on October 12, 2021.
