The Russian Defense Ministry reported that it successfully repelled attacks by two unmanned Ukrainian drone boats carrying explosives aimed at the port city of Novorossiysk.
The boats were destroyed in the sea, preventing any reported damage initially and the port, situated on the Black Sea, hosts many of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet warships used in operations against Ukraine.
Additionally, the Russian Defense Ministry mentioned repelling drone attacks in other regions, including Moscow, Belgorod, and Bryansk. While local authorities in Novorossiysk urged residents to stay indoors during the incident.
This follows a significant attack on May 17, when 44 drones were shot down, causing damage to around 30 buildings in the city.
