Nigeria’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) has announced the approval of 2,000 tractors, 4,000 disc ploughs, 1,200 tractor trailers and other equipment under its National Agricultural Mechanization Programme (NAMP) to promote food security in Nigeria.
This was disclosed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the president, in a statement on his X handle, outlining the outcomes of Thursday’s FEC meeting in Abuja.
He stated that the approval included other assorted spare parts that would boost Nigeria’s food production drive which is aimed at improving food security.
