The Nigerian Army has discharged Ruth Ogunleye from service following her allegations of sexual harassment against senior officer I.B. Abdulkareem.
Addressing journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, Director of Army Public Relations Onyema Nwachukwu stated that after a thorough review of the facts, testimonies, and evidence presented, it was concluded that Abdulkareem did not commit the offenses alleged by Ogunleye.
Recall that, In January 2024, Ogunleye accused I.B. Abdulkareem, G.S. Ogor, and I.B. Solebo on her TikTok page, claiming they had made her life unbearable.
She specifically alleged that Abdulkareem attempted to assault her multiple times, administered injections against her will, forcibly removed her from her residence, and confined her to a psychiatric hospital for several months after she rejected his sexual advances.
