The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation has called for national and international collaboration between governments, law enforcement and the private sector to check the increasing spate of cybercrime in the country.
The Head of Information Technology Department of the NDIC, Imade Uhunmwagho, made the call today at the 2021 workshop for the Financial Correspondents Association of Nigeria in Ibadan.
He noted that the absence of sufficient and strong laws to prevent and punish cybercrimes had blended to make crime a major problem in the country.
