Prominent American rapper Lil Durk, also known as Durk Banks, was arrested Thursday night in Florida on murder-for-hire charges and Currently detained without bond as he is being held at Broward County Jail, awaiting transfer to the custody of U.S. Marshals.
This arrest comes after the detention of five other suspects earlier in the day, all charged with murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit murder as the charges relate to the 2022 shooting death of Saviay’a Robinson, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, in Los Angeles while authorities link the killing to gang-related conflicts.
Federal prosecutors identified the additional suspects as Kavon London-Grant, Deandr Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston.
They allege the group aimed to retaliate against Quando Rondo, whom they suspect of involvement in the 2020 murder of Chicago rapper King Von in Atlanta.
The arrest has sent shockwaves through the music industry, as fans and experts alike await further updates on this unfolding high-profile case.
