Israeli forces have bombed another United Nations-run school in southern Gaza, killing at least 20 displaced Palestinians seeking shelter in the building.
According to Palestinian officials, more than 60 people have been confirmed dead in the last 24 hours as a result of Israeli airstrikes.
Reports from foreign news agencies in Deir el-Balah indicate that the attack on the UNRWA-run school in Khan Younis, which occurred on Sunday evening, was carried out “without warning.” Civilians, including women and children, were reportedly struck while they were asleep.
In northern Gaza, the death toll from the Israeli assault on the Khalil Oweida School in Beit Hanoun has risen from 15 to 43, according to a spokesperson for the Gaza Government Media Office.
