The Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL has wrapped up plans to increase the number of clubs participating in its league for the 2025-26 season.
The number of clubs will increase from 16 to 20 teams.
The NWFL made the declaration on the new league structure at the just concluded Annual General Assembly, AGA, in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to the league body, arrangements will be put in place for a successful take-off.
Recall that the NWFL started with 12 teams in 2017.
Rivers Angels have won seven NWFL titles since its inception.
