The speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Paul Emeziem, has been impeached.
Emeziem was removed during plenary session today at the state house of Assembly in Owerri the state capital after 19 out of the 27 lawmakers signed a letter accusing him of gross misconduct, abuse of office and high handedness.
Meanwhile the lawmaker representing Obowo state constituency, Kennedy Ibeh has emerged the new speaker of the House.
