Yet to be identified gunmen have reportedly attacked Mbayatyo Mbater council of Logo Local Government Area in Benue State during a wake-keep, killing an unspecified number of mourners.
A resident of the community, Jiji Jack, who confirmed the incident said it occurred on Saturday morning, at the wake-keep of one Mama Sule Adigi, and left many dead while scores sustained various degrees of injuries.
