President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law two bills passed by the National Assembly.
A statement signed by the presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, stated that the Climate Change bill provides for, mainstreaming of climate change actions and the establishment of a National Council on Climate Change.
The statement noted that it paves the way for environmental and economic accounting and a push for a net zero emission deadline plan in the country.
It added that the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria Act amends the AMCON Act No.4, 2010, and it confers on the corporation the power to take possession, manage, foreclose, and transfer asset or property used as security for eligible bank assets and related matters.
