The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, Nigeria, has raised alarm over the surge in the Cameroonian refugees in Nigeria.
A statement signed by the Communication/Public Information Officer, UNHCR Nigeria, Gabriel Adeyemo, urged international community to support refugees in Nigeria.
The statement noted that at least 80 percent of the refugees from Cameroon were women and children.
It added that these refuges reside in Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Enugu, Cross River and Taraba States.
