As Nigerians await President Muhammadu Buhari’s assent to the Electoral Act Amendment Bill, the presidency says Buhari will take action that is in the overall interest of the masses.
Speaking during an interview with newsmen on Monday in Abuja, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said President Buhari is currently consulting with all stakeholders, including the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, before making his position known on the issue.
Adesina noted that Buhari cannot be preempted but would decide on the pending bill at the appropriate time.
