Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has said resources provided to tackle COVID-19 in the 2022 budget would be monitored to ensure prudence of its use.
Lawan disclosed this on Monday in Abuja while declaring open a National Summit on COVID-19.
He said the 2022 appropriation bill will provide Nigeria with necessary facilities to fight the pandemic and beyond it.
The Senate President assured Nigerians that members of the National Assembly and other political leaders in the country will take the health of the citizens seriously by protecting them.
