Archbishop Desmond Tutu, one of the voices against apartheid in South Africa, has passed on.
Confirming his death, South Africa President, Cyril Ramaphosa said the death of Tutu marked another chapter of bereavement in the nation.
Ramaphosa hailed the 90-year old late cleric for helping the country to become liberated.
Tutu, a Nelson Mandela ally, ensured an end to the policy of racial segregation.
