Imo State Police Command says it has repelled an unknown gunmen attack on the Police Station in Ideato South Local Government Area of the state.
A statement issued on Thursday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Michael Abattam disclosed that no life or arms was lost.
The statement revealed that the unknown gunmen who came in their numbers, shot sporadically and threw Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) into the station.
It added that the State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Hussaini, commended the officers and men for their gallantry and called on members of the public to assist the police by availing them with credible information to the arrest of the gunmen.
