Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has warned operators of illegal refineries to steer clear of the State.
Governor Diri, gave the warning when he received his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, at the Government House, Yenagoa, the State Capital.
He warned operators escaping from Rivers to Bayelsa to go elsewhere as his administration had set up a standing committee to arrest and prosecute anyone caught in the illicit business.
According to the Governor, the state cannot afford to be polluted by soot which was traced to illegal bunkering.
