The Seme command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has intercepted 30,150 liters of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, also known as petrol.
A statement issued by the command’s public relations officer, Hussaini Abdullahi, disclosed that the product was intercepted at the verge of being smuggled into neighboring Benin Republic.
The statement noted that the interception was in continuation of the command’s efforts to suppress smuggling of petroleum products out of the country.
It, however, added that the Customs Area Controller of the command, Bello Jibo commended the doggedness of the officers who intercepted the petroleum products.
