Buhari orders establishment of robust Military operation in Niger

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Defence Headquarters to come up with a massive military response to the deteriorating security situation in Niger State.

A statement issued on Sunday by his Media Aide, Garba Shehu reiterated that security is a responsibility of every member of the community, and only through solidarity and cooperation with law enforcement agencies can the nation defeat the problems finally.

The statement directs the military to respond robustly to the cases of killings and kidnappings in the state and to give effect to the strategic objectives through the use of force.

It, however, expressed sincere sympathies to the government and people of the State following recent security incidents.
