Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has approved Governor Udom Emmanuel’s N4.7billion loan request.
Governor Emmanuel had approached the assembly requesting for the approval of the loan, which he said would be given to a Digital Automobile Assembly Plant, Ikot Ukap, in Itu Local Government Area of the state.
The House in its deliberations noted that the Car Assembling Plant, when fully functional, will boost the economy of the state and create more jobs for unemployed youths.
The lawmakers assured that the House will continue to support the Governor in his quest to leave the state better than he met it.
