NEC to take decision on fuel subsidy in June

The National Economic Council, NEC, has said the decision on removal of subsidy on petroleum would be made in June.

Briefing newsmen on the outcome of the meeting, Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdulahi Sule, noted that any decision on removal of subsidy would be taken after the budget provision runs its course in June.

The Governor added that the Council through a committee it set up on the issue has been having a conversation on the matter, and it was yet to take a stand on it.
