The Federal Government has assured that additional provisions for fuel subsidy will be made in the 2022 budget.
Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed disclosed this at a meeting with the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
Ahmed stated that after consultations with stakeholders and in view of the high inflation and economic hardship, additional provisions would be made beyond the initial period.
The Minister admitted that removing fuel subsidy would worsen the condition of Nigerians, especially those struggling to make ends meet.
