Aisha Buhari Blames Cancer Mortality on Lack of Awareness

Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has blamed lack of awareness for the high rate of mortality from cancer.

A statement issued by her media office, revealed that World Cancer Day, which will hold on the February 4, 2022, would provide a veritable platform to accelerate the fight against cancer.

The statement called on stakeholders to collaborate and intensify efforts in ensuring the proper implementation of the National Cancer Control Plan to reduce the death rate in Nigeria.
