Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has warned that his administration would not tolerate any form of harassment and intimidation of female students wearing hijab
Governor Makinde who issued the warning in a message released as part of activities to mark 2022 World Hijab Day, assured that his administration will not trample on the religious rights of anyone.
The Governor maintained that the hijab is a covering that beautifies the wearer and helps in advancing decency in society.
Recall that some Muslim women and students had been molested by authorities of their schools or agencies on the basis of their Hijab.
