The Nigerian Army says that it has arrested a high profile Boko Haram terrorist, Yawi Modu, in Borno State.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this in a statement issued today in Abuja.
The statement revealed that the terrorist has been on the security wanted list and was arrested by troops of Operation Hadin Kai, OPHK, during a recent raid on terrorist hideouts in parts of the North East.
It added that, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya, commended the troops for their vigilance and resilience and reassured them of his support to decisively deal with the terrorists.
