Twenty abducted persons have regained their freedom after the Police raided a bandits’ hideout at Anaba hilltop, Magama Local Government Area in Niger State.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
The statement noted that the scores of bandits were neutralized in a fierce gun battle with police personnel and several of the bandits were killed and the abducted victims regained freedom.
It added that the State Commissioner of Police, Monday Kuryas, reiterated the commitment of the Command to rid the state of banditry activities and other crime.
