Ortom Condemns Clash Between Two Communities

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has condemned the violent clash between the Tiv and Jukun communities in the Makurdi riverside over ownership of fish ponds in the area.

A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nathaniel Ikyur, called on the two communities to cease hostilities without delay.

The statement expressed sadness over the crisis and assured that the perpetrators of the violent clash must be brought to justice.

It directed security operatives to take control of the area and do all necessary to arrest the perpetrators of the mayhem.
