Imo State Police Command says it has arrested a 47-year-old woman, Evangelist Ugochi Orisakwe and four others, for allegedly using church premises as a baby factory in Owerri North Local Government Area of the State.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Hussaini confirmed the crime on Thursday which was disclosed in a statement signed by the command spokesperson, Micheal Abattam, and made available to newsmen.
The statement revealed that the suspect was arrested by the operatives of the command, alongside her gang members.
It added that investigation is ongoing and efforts are on to arrest other members of the syndicate who are on the run.
