Team Delta on Tuesday emerged champions of the sixth edition of the National Youth Games with 60 gold, 27 silver and 29 bronze medals.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development today.
The statement revealed that Team Lagos finished a distant second after picking 19 gold, 26 silver and 28 bronze medals, while Team Edo placed third with 18 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze.
It added that the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare described the performance of the athletes as a sign of better things to come in the Nigerian sports sector, asserting that the future was bright.
