Imo Police Command to Ban Use of  Fireworks

Imo State Police Command says the ban on the use of Fireworks and other Explosives is still in force and the command will enforce all the extant laws prohibiting the use of knockouts especially this yuletide season.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Michael Abbattam and made available to newsmen.

According to the statement, parents and guardians are advised to educate and guide their children and wards against the use of fireworks and other explosives as well as Wholesalers / Retailers of such items in the state as anyone found complicit will be arrested.
