Gambia’s main opposition party, United Democratic Party, UDP, has filed a petition at the country’s Supreme Court to formally challenge the results of the December 4 presidential election won by Adama Barrow.
The United Democratic Party, UDP stated on Tuesday, that it had petitioned the Supreme Court to nullify the results for alleged corruption and bribery during the campaign.
The Party also alleged that numerous foreign nationals were allowed to vote, among other irregularities.
Barrow won 53 percent of the votes, ahead of his closest rival, Ousainou Darboe, who collected 27.7 percent.
