Abrahamovich Announces Plan to Sell Chelsea

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich says he is planning to sell the club.

In a statement issued on the club’s website, Abramovich said he had made an incredibly difficult decision.

The statement added that the sale of the club will not be fast-tracked but will follow due process.

The businessman said he would give stewardship of Chelsea to its foundation trustees following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
