INEC Denies Resuming Voter Registration Exercise in Imo

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it has not resumed the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, in Imo State

INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, described the report as misleading.

Okoye appealed to the public to disregard reports of the purported resumption of the CVR in the three Local Government Areas in the state.

He noted that the Commission will announce any new decision on the matter after consultation with Security Agencies and critical Stakeholders.
