The leaders of France, Germany, Italy and Romania have backed Ukraine’s bid to join the European Union, EU.
German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, said Ukraine belongs to the European family, and should be give immediate candidate status.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron assured that the 27-member EU would stand by Ukraine until its victory against Russia.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, appealed for more heavy weapons to be sent urgently for Ukraine to be able to defend itself more effectively.
