Lagos State House of Assembly has debunked reports that the lawmakers secretly passed a Sharia law in the state.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Security and Strategy, Setonji David.
The statement maintained that the news making rounds on social media that the lawmakers passed a Sharia law in a deal to get Northern support for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, was false.
It, however, urged residents of the state to take the peddlers of this unfounded report as uneducated people who needed to be schooled about the law-making process.
