Former Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has sympathized with the state government and the House of Assembly over the death of the Majority Leader of the House, Nnamdi Okafor.
A statement issued by his media aide, Tony Nezianya, described Okafor as a vocal lawmaker who would be missed in the legislature and by the people of the state.
The statement noted that he was an active lawmaker who has been contributing to the growth of the legislature and participating in robust debates in the House.
It was reported that the lawmaker slumped and died on Tuesday in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he was attending a training session organized for members of the State House of Assembly.
