Akeredolu Commends Northern Governors for Supporting Call for State Police

Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, has commended the Northern Governors Forum and Northern Traditional Rulers Council’s for their support for the establishment of state police.

Akeredolu made the commendation in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde.

The statement noted that the decision to support the call for constitutional amendment to reflect the current realities could not have come at a better time than now, when the confidence in the capacity of the Federal Government to secure the country appears shaky.

It added that the call for state police will continue as it is the only logical and pragmatic solution to the pervasive problem of insecurity in the land.
