Ethiopian parliament has voted to remove the Tigray People’s Liberation Front from the country’s terror blacklist.
This comes four months after the group signed a peace deal to end a brutal war against the government.
The truce signed in November in South Africa’s capital, ended a two-year conflict that led to thousands of deaths and warnings of a famine.
Delisting Tigray Front as a terrorist organization was among the highlights of the agreement, which also included a disarmament plan and the restoration of crucial services in the northern Tigray region.
