Sudanese civilian groups and the ruling junta have missed the deadline to form a civilian-led transitional government.
According to a timeline set up by the parties, a new prime minister would have been announced on Tuesday as well as other officials.
The deadline lapsed after the parties failed to sign a final transition deal over disagreements on the integration of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces into the army.
A joint committee from the military and RSF, reportedly suspended the talks for one day for further consultations.
