The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has summoned an emergency security meeting amid the heightened insecurity currently bedevilling the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
At the emergency meeting held on Tuesday, the FCT minister assured residents of their safety.
He said the government was working to support security agents with all they need to tackle insecurity.
Wike warned the area council chairmen to be alive to their responsibility at the local level.
Recall that in the past few weeks, bandits have ravaged some parts of the FCT, abducting residents from their homes.
The incidents which have created tension became heightened when some residents, including a 13-year-old secondary school student, were killed over failure to meet the deadline for a ransom payment.
