The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, says it is developing an institutional framework that is supportive of non-oil export and economic diversification.
Speaking during a one-day symposium organized by the Nigerian Export Promotion Council in Port Harcourt, NAFDAC Director South-South Zone, Chukwuma Oligbu stated that procedures for the export of products have been streamlined to reduce unnecessary regulatory barriers to non-oil exports.
Oligbu noted that NAFDAC has strengthened regulatory systems and transparency by ensuring guidelines, regulations and tariffs are available on the agency’s website.
