Creating a framework through NAFDAC to support exports of non-oil

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, says it is developing an institutional framework that is supportive of non-oil export and economic diversification.
Speaking during a one-day symposium organized by the Nigerian Export Promotion Council in Port Harcourt, NAFDAC Director South-South Zone, Chukwuma Oligbu stated that procedures for the export of products have been streamlined to reduce unnecessary regulatory barriers to non-oil exports.
Oligbu noted that NAFDAC has strengthened regulatory systems and transparency by ensuring guidelines, regulations and tariffs are available on the agency’s website.
Meanwhile, Oligbu has called for the support of the Rivers State Police Command in enforcing the NAFDAC mandate
