In a significant development, the Edo State House of Assembly has taken the decision to impeach Philip Shaibu, Deputy Governor of Edo State. This decision came after a thorough investigation conducted by panel appointed by the Assembly to look into allegations of misconduct against Shaibu.
The impeachment process, which began earlier this week, reached its climax with a dramatic vote during the plenary session. Out of the 20 members present, 18 voted in favor of the panel’s findings, leading to Shaibu’s removal from office.”
