In Abia State, Governor Alex Otti is urging Local Government Areas and communities to adopt the new Abia agenda on agriculture for food sufficiency. The call came during the inauguration of the Isuikwuato Agriculture Revolution Program (ISAREP) and the flag-off of the 2024 Isuikwuato Planting Season.
Speaking at the event held at Isuikwuato LGA headquarters, Otti emphasized the importance of supporting agriculture as a business for the state’s development. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to transforming Abia and restoring its pride among other states, with agriculture being a focal point in this agenda.
Otti stressed the significance of the program amidst the national food crisis, urging other communities and LGAs to follow suit. He believes that unlocking the agricultural potential of Abia State can not only ensure its self-sufficiency but also contribute to feeding Nigeria.
