The Imo State Police Command in has paraded a suspected kidnap kingpin, Aralu Chukwudi Charis, aged 40, hailing from Otolo in Nnewi North Council Area of Anambra State. The State Police Public Relations Officer revealed this during a press briefing at the command’s headquarters in Owerri.
The suspect was apprehended in Mgbidi, Oru East Council Area of Imo State, following a successful operation led by the Imo State Police Command Anti-Kidnapping Unit. Charis is accused of masterminding numerous kidnapping and armed robbery incidents in the state.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, emphasized the commitment of the Command to combating criminal activities in the state. He urged residents, especially the youth, to refrain from crime, warning that perpetrators will face consequences.
