President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the Electoral Act Amendment Bill 2021 into law.
The President assented to the bill on Friday at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
In his address, President Buhari said in line with established tradition, he received inputs from relevant ministries, departments and agencies of government after careful and thorough reviews of the Bill and its implications to democratic processes in Nigeria.
Among those present at the signing of the bill includes, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu; among others.
