Ortom Urges Residents to Take up Arms

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has urged citizens of the state to take up arms and confront invaders.

A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur, frowned at the situation where killer herders take shelter in a neighboring state, which they use as a launch pad to attack Benue indigenes and residents.

The statement called on the Federal Government to cooperate with the state government and step up military operations that would flush out armed herdsmen from states bordering Benue.
