The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has said that it has the ability to secure products from counterfeiting.
The Agency’s deputy director for Investigation and Enforcement, Christiana Esenwa, stated this after securing a five-year conviction for an accused, who was arrested for counterfeiting a registered olive oil product.
Esenwa noted that the conviction was made possible with the collaboration of the Nigeria Police Force, who arrested the convict and handed him over to NAFDAC.
