Kano State Ban Films With Kidnapping Ad, Drug Addiction Theme.

Kano State government has banned the showing or selling of movies displaying kidnappings and drug addiction in the State.

The Executive Secretary, Kano Film Censorship Board, Ismaila Afakallah, who disclosed this during an interview with newsmen, stated that the prohibition became necessary, as the issues as turned notorious among citizens.

Afakallah maintained that the ban is aimed at curtailing the menace and reducing the possibility of young people adopting criminal acts.
