The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has sued Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, over the suspension of the union’s activity in state-owned institutions.
A suit filed by ASUU branch of Ambrose Alli University, argued that the suspension of union activities by the governor, was unconstitutional, and beyond the powers of the defendants.
Recall, that the State Government at its State Executive Council meeting, on June 8, suspended all union activities across all state-owned institutions of higher learning.
